We refer to the ‘Business Architect’ as a professional role, a person or organization that repeatedly is the initiator of new business ventures. Business Architects can be found in a multitude of business settings: New business managers in large organizations: development projects champions in technology firms; as the entrepreneur of start up ventures; or as the initiator of joint ventures.
Although the setting in which Business Architects act are different, they all provide one distinct service. The Business Architect will run a new venture through a process to achieve growth of the new business venture.
The Business Architect Services have been designed to help the Business Architect in this new venture process. Providing insight and hands-on help in the vital areas of new venture development.
The Business Architect Project is a research and development initiative funded by its consortium and by the European Commission’s Information Society Technology R&D Programme.
Launched in February 2000, the project is scheduled to run through to July 2002.
The project’s goal is to develop, test and implement a suite of management services and supporting software tools designed to facilitate the new venture process.
